Happy Halloweeeeeeeen!!

The kids had some fun activites for Halloween.  Peyton had a class party at school, they had the ward carnival and trunk or treat, trick or treating in the neighborhood.  What a fun time!

Miss Piggy, Harry Potter, and our poor Hot Dog who I don't think loves his costume :(

Miss Piggy--Addison chose her costume very early on and never changed.  She was going to be Miss Piggy and that was the end of it.  I think it turned out super cute though!!

Harry Potter--Peyton has been very into Harry Potter this year and with his new glasses it was a perfect match :)

I even broke down and got a witch costume this year :)  And probably for every year after.

In October I went on a whirlwind 13 colonies tour (plus some) with a good friend of mine and her kids.  I only stayed for 6 days because I had to get back for the Primary program at church.  My friend ended up all the way down the coast to Florida and DisneyWorld.

I was in 13 states in 6 days (including my stop in Illinois on the way home)

In Hershey Town I created my own candy bar--milk chocolate with raspberries, and sprinkles on top

Mmmmmmm!

We went through Gettysburg on the way to Alexandria, VA (outside DC) where we were staying Friday night.  Also a very moving place.  We only saw it at night but I think I would like to go back another time.

Jubilee Farm

Jubilee Farm field trip at Sammamish Learning Center.

Addison's class went on a field trip to a local farm. They got to do a hay maze, feed the pigs (which they thought smelled horrible), and pick their very own pumpkin :)

It was a rainy Seattle day and we had a lovely time with her class.

This is the pumpkin that made the cut.

Addison's two best buds at school--Logan and Owen.

Am I lost in the maze?

Goooooal!

Peyton played soccer this fall with some boys from school.

He had a good time--and this year was the first year that he was concerned when they did not win. He really improved a lot this year and tried to "have his head in the game"

The Shooting Stars

In action. . .

We had a lovely, mostly sunny, soccer season. Great for the Northwest!

Half time

Peyton playing keeper.

He looks serious, doesn't he?

Look alikes!

Addison had to make a paperdoll look like her for school.

I would say we came pretty close :)

It's A New Day

I got to be a guest on New Day a local variety, news type show.

Think The Today Show scaled way back :)

I won the giant tisted twister game and a $100 gift card on the audience participation segment. There's my 15 minutes of fame :)

Unfortunately the video no longer seems to be online :) Twisted=every so often a bell rings and you are handed a water balloon to hold while playing twister. We got up to three water balloons before the segment ended. One in my hand, one in my teeth, and one well. . . :)

First Day of School!

Don't they look excited!!

I am lucky that they both love school!!

I hope they continue to.

Peyton is starting 2nd grade at Margaret Mead Elementary.

His teacher is Ms. Glaubman.

Addison is pre K this year at Sammamish Learning Center.

Her teachers are Ms. Louise and Ms. Trish.

Kid pics :)

We went on a picnic--with Subway in tow--to a fun beach in Everett with my friend Carrie.

She has been taking some photography classes and so I volunteered my kids to be her models :)

They were having a great time playing around and we got some fun pictures!

Thanks Carrie!!
