What do you choose?

Thai restaurant Lamponi Thai by our house. We are creatures of habit (mostly) and have the same thing. Joe had the Pad See Ew (delicious thick noodles with brocolli, carrots, and eggs) and I had the Panang Chicken Curry (yummy!). Addison ate it all but mostly just wanted the Mangoes and Sticky Rice for dessert (and ate most of it).

On-the-Go Napkin Bib Clip

Look at this cute quick gift I just found for a friend who's having a baby. Always looking for a quick, inexpensive gift.

On-the-Go Napkin Bib Clip

15-20 lbs baggage

So we were looking through old pictures last night (very fun BTW) and Joe looks great and has lost over 100 lbs from those pictures. I however have picked up 15-20 of those lbs. So I'm looking at pictures of the skinnier me and I was all on board last night to get rid of those and get back to a comfortable weight.
and then. . .
I wake up this morning and it's raining AGAIN (because remember we have started construction on our Ark) and do you know what sounds delicious? The Chicken Cordon Bleu recipe below. Of course it also is pan fried and swimming in a cream sauce. But oh so good!! I guess I'll have to pass today and go get on the bike :) But if any of you are in the need of a delicious meal, Voila!
Off to ride the bike and read a book Joe lent me. (Working Together by Michael Eisner). So far it's pretty good.

Building an Ark

So now after living in the Northwest again for 2 months I have officially changed the title of our blog to "Building an Ark" September is usually a lovely, even the best month in Seattle. Well this year we have started to build our ark what with all the rain. And I heard just recently that it is expected to be a BAD winter. Hmmmm?!?!?

On another note I found these delicious looking muffins on a cute blog. Haven't tried them yet but I thought maybe for FHE. Let me know if you try them first :)

I'm updated

OK I don't promise anything but I am going to try to keep this updated. Now that I have things a little more organized here in Seattle :) and since I had a request to GET UPDATED (thanks Bruce) here you go. We'll be better!! Hope you are all well! Hope to see you soon!

Pinked. . .

I was "pinked" on my birthday. I think that is close to being "punked". Thanks, Martine, Caprielle, and Paul.
I had a wonderful birthday with my family. Thanks Joe, Peyton and Addison.

Addison's first day of school

Addison had her official first day of school on September 14, 2010 at Sammamish Learning Center (which was a really long time to wait for both Mommy and Addison). But she had an orientation day the week before where she got to see her class and play with friends.
She is liking school a lot and goes on T, TH, and F afternoons.

Dancing Queen

Addison is taking a tap/ballet class at Gotta Dance. She is very excited about it and really most excited that she got measured for a costume. Now if that's not exciting I don't know what is :)

Peyton's first day of school

Peyton's first day of school was on Septmeber 1, 2010. He is in first grade at Margaret Mead Elementary in Sammamish, WA. He has two great teachers, Mrs. Escamilla (who will be having a baby soon and taking a little time off) and Mrs. Baughman.
He is having a good time and making new friends (although he still misses his old ones)

Orcas Island

We went on our annual trip to Orcas Island with Joe's mom and sister and sister-in-law and all the kids. We went to a concert (for some culture), did pottery, played in the lake and the hot tub, went the the market, and of course rode a ferry. It was lots of fun. Thanks Meemo!!

Happy 40th Birthday Joe!!

My fabulous husband turned 40 this year on August 20, 1010.

Isn't there something like fabulous and 40?

He had a great party with friends and family with one of his favorite bands--WAR STORIES (out of San Diego, CA). Actually we only got half of the band, but they were a great half. They flew up from San Diego and played a great show (see below for a short clip). Or check them out on Facebook.

Here's to another 40 years honey!

I love you!

A potato gun that shoots candy? Just what the kids ordered. Pump some compressed air into some contraption that Matt built and pull the trigger. Result: candy blasted into the air.

Great Wolf Lodge

Have you ever tried to go to a water park in Washington?
Kind of difficult in the rain and there aren't many around anyhow. However they have The Great Wolf Lodge down near Olympia that is a hotel chain across the United States that has an indoor water park. Complete with wave pool, 4 big waterslides, a kiddie area and bigger kiddie area. In the hotel there is a wizarding game with wands. Nice one stop shop! We met some good friends of ours that we knew when we were in Marysville. It was so nice to see them and spend a nice couple of days having fun in the water.
Just part of our experiencing Western Washington attempt.

Deception Pass, Washington

We spent 3 nights camping at Decpetion Pass the first of August. Should have been 4 nights but . . ."the rain came down" and we were worried about the floods coming up so we left early. the kids had a great time with their cousins (we went with Joe's family) down on the beach finding crabs and making up shows for us to watch (a long version of Star Wars).
