Project 365. . .

I think I have found my most favorite app on the iPhone.

Project 365. . .every day it sends me a reminder to take a picture. I go in tap the date for the day and take a picture of something that we are doing that day. I can write a little caption and it saves it in a little calendar.

I never used to be good at journaling, but they have really made things a lot easier to do that now. When the year is up we'll have a little blurb about each and every day.

And how much fun is that?

Here's what we have been up to this week. . .

A big train track in the Living Room.

Addison reading "Pinkalicious" to J.D. (our dog) in his kennel.

Green Eggs and Ham for St. Patty's Day breakfast.

... biggest mistake

". . .but the biggest mistake I made is the one that most of us make:

I did not live in the moment enough.

This is particularly clear now that the moment is gone, captured only in photographs.

I wish I had not been in a hurry to get on to the next things: dinner, bath, book, bed. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less.

Cable or no cable that is the question?

What do you do to watch TV?

We recently changed our TV situation. We have had a DVR for a long time and when HD came out we got that as well. We have always had either satellite or Cable.

We have been batting around the idea of cancelling our cable for sometime now but never got around to it until we got a big push to cut some expenses :)

So for about two weeks now we have had no cable, no DVR, HD sometimes when the antennae reception is good and WE ARE SURVIVING! :)

Funny how you think you won't, and although as I sit here trying to watch The Biggest Loser the reception keeps cutting in and out (it's like a big game, when they flash the weight up on the screen the TV cuts out, haha, funny!) it's not to bad. We stream Netflix through the Wii and we plug the laptop in when we want to watch something else.

It's all very reminiscent of when I was a kid. Only we also had no remote for a long time and plug your laptop into the TV?! What's a laptop?
My kids have no idea how this works and still ask if we can "pause the TV". But we are saving money, a fair amount monthly. And we hardly miss it!

Changing our focus, slowly but surely we are getting priorities in the right order!

"Nickolody" and a "Flamango" anyone?

We love Mangoes at our house!! At least the girls do! Joe and Peyton can take them or leave them.

But Addison keeps asking for "flamangoes".

We like the HONEY MANGOES.
They remind me of the Philippines, only in Tagalog they are called "Matamis na Mangga". So delicious!! We used to eat them during mango season for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Well now I think that Addison would do the same thing if she could.

So while she eats her mangoes she likes to play "Nickolody", which is code for Nick Jr. online. She has just recently been able to play on the computer but she picked it up quickly. :)

And now that she has the hang of the mouse she likes to play as much as we will let her.

We just recently cancelled our Comcast cable, but just before that Addison got into "Bubble Guppies". Have you seen that show? So cute!! It might be one of my favorites! So now Addison plays Bubble Guppies on Nickjr.com. It gives her her fix!
