Dysentery, snake bite, broken leg, oh my!

Addison got it for Christmas in her stocking. It’s a quick learn, a quick game and very exciting.

You can find it here

We played it for Family Home Evening tonight with the Sister Missionaries.

The goal is to get 600# of food for the whole group to win the game.  It’s all or nothing!

Tonight we lost Peyton to dysentery, one Sister to a snake bite and only collected 300# of good before we ran out of ammunition and got trapped by trees and lost the game.

Renew. . .

Sunday is always a good time to renew and put the sins of the week behind us.  Grateful for our Savior and repentance!

The odds are. . .

One day of no rain :)

Our friends from Utah came to Seattle for Spring Break.  Unfortunately it rained the whole time they were here, almost. . .

Except yesterday!

Yesterday I took the kids out of school (we don’t have Spring Break until next week) and the Behunin’s go home Sunday early.

So we went to take the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry to go to Whidbey Island

Then we drove to Coupeville to have lunch.  Addison and I shared yummy crab cakes and a jalapeño burger. And Peyton had and oyster BLT.

Then we were off to play at Fort Casey.

A fort built in the late 1800’s to protect the Puget Sound.  Fortunately they never saw actual combat.

Marcey and Addison are much more flexible than the rest of us 😀

Addison is always working on her splits for Dance 💃

After exploring for awhile we were off to the Tulip Festival in Skagit County.

We drove around through Oak Harbor and over Deception Pass.

But when we got to Tulip Town there were not many tulip fields in bloom.  To early and to much rain so far. daffodil fields were in bloom.

We had to drop Addison off at Joe’s parents to we said goodbye to the Behunin’s until summer.

Thanks for hanging out with us!

On the one day of sun!

General Relief Society Meeting

Joe fed the kids grilled cheese tonight.

I went with some friends and watched. . .

the General Relief Society Meeting.
for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

It was a nice dose of inspiration and a reality check :)

Check it out here on the LDS website.

G-Force :)

We adopted a guinea pig back in May
(well actually 2--that story to be updated soon, you can find it in May)

Jake
Jakeson
Jakers

Any of the above he can be called.

Peyton loves his guinea pig, so does Addison.

They are very good about taking the responsibility for his feeding and cleaning.

Addison had soccer tonight--every Friday night :)

What was for dinner?  Day 302

The kids had free hotdogs at soccer.

Joe and I had this little number by Mel's Kitchen Cafe.

Ham and Pasta Skillet Dinner

She always has yummy stuff and this one only took about 30 minutes to make.

And it tasted good.

What's for dinner? Day 300

Tonight Peyton had Pack night for Cub Scouts.

They had a uniform inspection (first one).  Which made me need to get it gear and put his badges on his uniform.  He has had his shirt since February and some patches soon after.  And I am only now getting them on?!?!  Yikes!

We needed something quick for dinner.

We had some yummy sandwiches found here.

Ham and Cheese Sliders

I should have left them in the oven longer to get the cheese a little more melty, but they were good.
